Enjoyed some southern cooking..such
as Fried Chicken, roast beef, poppy seed
chicken casserole, pecan pie , potatoes
and Sweet ice tea with fresh lemon.
Everyone was so nice, Dorothy the owner,
Sally the server, and many more who worked
the lunch shift.

He came up out of the woods....
I must have looked at 4000 names trying to decide
what to name him.
He is fearless, inquisitive, loves our older tom cats
and LEO, seemed perfect for his name...
He is about 5 months old, his milky blue eyes are turning
bottle green now in just the two weeks we have had him.
He has his rabies shot, wormed and will be neutered in a few
Leo has a new house, a medium size doghouse I bought for him ,
a dogbed and a fleece blanket to go inside the dog house which
sits near my front door under the covered porch..
I will have some better photos of him as he grows..
He looks just like a coyote in the face...

Jack is the oldest living veteran at the 150 bed veterans nursing home
and my father in law. He will be 97 his next birthday, he served on a
destroyer ship in world war 2 in the Pacific during the war during combat
times. he is standing with the wreath of flowers dedicated to the veterans.
He is shown sitting with a flag in his hand also on this page.
You will see Vietnam veterans, also those who served in the Korean
war, the Gulf war and some who have returned from
Afghanistan and Iraq and other areas...
