Scuppernong time!

I find it hard to believe 12 months have flown by and
these grapes are ready for picking and eating!
Today a neighbor brought these and left the bag
hanging on my gate for me this morning!
They are fabulous...He had to pick them in 102
degree heat and high humidity!

I immediately sat down and wrote him a thank you card
stamped it and put it in the mailbox!

For someone to give you a gift such as this is rare
and for anyone to write a handwritten thank you note
is rare too..

I believe in good etiquette and for showing your thankfulness!

Southern grown Field Peas!

In the southern United States we dine on Southern Country cooked food.

That may be a choice of fried pork chops, fried chicken, fried
cornbread, steamed cabbage, stewed squash with onions, rice and
gravy and also fresh field peas.

These are fresh purple hull field peas!

I have a plate of fried pork chops, fried cornbread,
collard greens and scalloped potatoes for you to see
that I enjoyed at a cafe in Alabama..USA.

Butterflys!

I planted and replanted a pack of zinnia flower seeds this year..
some of them died, some of the plants were dug up by my cats,
and only 2 zinnias grew and they are 6 foot tall!

I captured these butterflys and insects today on the zinnia
flowers!

A visitor in August!
