These hummingbirds were born around July lst...
They are drinking so much nectar daily, that
I measure up a pot of sugar water on the stove
making it daily for them!
I use one part white sugaar to three fourths
well water, bring it to a slight boil and
then let it cool away from the stove..
pour it into
a container and refrigerate it.
The sugar water will spoil in the 100 plus
temperatures, so the feeders have to be washed out
with water and white vinegar and brushed with a toothbrush
at the feeder openings....for mildew
just about every day this summer!
