Zack's

If you want southern style country cooked food that you will never forget
then you need to dine at Zack's.

Zack's is named after Zack..
He and his wife, Diane own the restaurant.
Diane is at the register every day as you pay at the
buffet type line.
She has a genuine, open smile for every customer
as you pay and then seat yourself.
To greet hundreds of people at lunchtime and smile at everyone of them has
impressed me..

The waitresses are Lacy, Lori, Madonna, Phylis, Stephanie and a few more..

In the serving line, there is Ruby who is always so sweet and smiling at you..
among others that work there..I will post photos of the employees..too.

The meats....are fried center cut porkchops, fried chicken of which you get any
two pieces you want, fried catfish, you get two of those, meat loaf,
center cut ham, fried livers, baked chicken, you get two pieces of it.

The vegetables are zipper peas, field peas, butter peas, butter beans, cream corn,
homemade mashed potatoes, steamed cabbage, macaroni and cheese, dumplings,
potato salad homemade, casseroles....

Fried thin cornbread, biscuits, fried green tomatoes, fried okra...

Desserts, are key lime cake, banana pudding, chocolate cake and pies...

You get a meat, 3 vegetables, dessert and drink...for $8.50...

Sheri - thanks so much for this post - I love zack's, they're such a consistent, wonderful little restaurant here in our town! Their banana pudding is divine!
